This is an unusual post. I almost never mention work on The BB Creative. But tonight I feel compelled to share an important project I’m working on at KPMG Enterprise in Saskatoon, the accounting firm I coordinate marketing and events for.
Event planning is a significant part of my job at KPMG Enterprise. I am passionate about event management. I enjoy developing strategic event plans and goals, I am happy to have the opportunity to be creative at work, and I love bringing people together and creating community.
Planning KPMG Enterprise’s event, The Power of We with Spencer West, has been an incredible and rewarding experience. Spencer is Me to We motivational speaker, author, and ambassador of international development organization Free The Children. He is also an incredibly inspiring individual who has an important message for people of all ages on the power of believing in yourself and believing in others.

When Spencer was five, doctors decided to amputate below his pelvis to better help him get around. Something that has never held him back. Navigating life on his hands, Spencer has always lived with purpose. If you live in Saskatoon I encourage you to come hear the inspirational and charismatic Spencer speak about overcoming bullying, finding happiness, and how he never lost the courage needed to conquer obstacles. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to hear Spencer share his latest challenge – conquering 5,895 metres of Mount Kilimanjaro! Spencer will show youth of all ages it is cool to care and inspire guests to create positive change in their communities.
Please join KPMG Enterprise for The Power of We with Spencer West on October 2, 2012 at Prairieland Park – Hall B (Ruth Street & Herman Avenue, Saskatoon). This is a free community event. Please reserve your free seat on picatic.com/thepowerofwe and bring a non-perishable food item for the Saskatoon Food Bank.
Disclaimer: I work for KPMG Enterprise. KPMG Enterprise did not ask that I share this event on my blog. I am very excited to meet Spencer West and wanted to take this opportunity to share Spencer’s inspirational story with you, my readers.
I promise to return to my crafting and DIY posts next week!
